As I stand in line waiting to board I have come to realize that USAirways made a mistake when they began charging for checked bags. It has only resulted in a sea of luggage being carried on and thus requiring storing in the cabin. Perhaps someone at USAirways did the cost analysis to determine that annoying me and my fellow travelers was cheaper than hiring another baggage handler?
Additionally, $15 a bag? Makes you wonder if bringing that extra t-shirt was worth having to get out the large bag for this weekend trip :-) ah-ha - maybe that is the real motive.
Signing off from seat 11B, and for those that are familiar with an Airbus A320 - you know that is the emergency row!
